4th Congress on Hypertension and Other Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Women

Welcome to the Hypertension in Women Symposium to be held in Turku, at Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel n 9.-10.5.2019.

During two days we will cover two important periods when especially hypertension becomes relevant in women’s life: first time during pregnancy when in form of preeclampsia this disorder affects both mother and fetus – and second time during postmenopausal life when hypertension becomes an important risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. We are going to focus both items separately and give an uptodate overview where we stand at the moment.

At the same time we show that there might be connections between these two: is hypertension in pregnancy a risk factor for postmenopausal hypertension and coronary artery disease?

Faculty of Medicine of the University of Turku has accepted 9 h for two days (9.-10.5.2019), 3 h for the first day (9.5.2019) and 6 h for the second day (19.5.2019) for specialization in endocrinology, cardiology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology and general medicine.
